Season Information
Fall 2010 soccer season:
U5-U14 will begin September, 2010 and end no later than November 13th. It will consist of 9 games played on Saturdays and some weekday nights.
U5-U12 games will be played at the Craig Ranch Soccer Complex. U13-U14 games will paly at Craig Ranch in McKinney and Celebration Park in Allen. There is an optional tournament following the Fall season date TBD.
The Fall 2010 season will begin in September.
U15-U19 teams will play their games in McKinney and Plano.

MSA needs Coaches! No experience necessary! We provide training.
(especially in the U5/U6 age groups)
McKinney Soccer provides the opportunity for kids to play soccer, however, volunteer coaches are needed to organize these activities. MSA and North Texas Soccer offer coaching clinics for each age group to help you teach the game to the kids. If you are interested please contact the MSA office for more details 972-569-6808.
Fees City of McKinney residents - U5 - New Player $65- (includes 1 uniform and 1 ball a year)
U6 - $60 (includes 1 ball a year for NEW players only)
U7/U8 - $60 U9-U12 - $65 U13/14 - $70 U16/U19 - $75 for all players. Non-residents fee
does not apply. (Games played in Plano)
Non-residents - add $10.00 U5-U14 players. Late registration - add $15.00.
These are league fees only- uniforms and equipment are not included except for new U5 players (see fees area above). Each child needs an age appropriate soccer ball, shin guards and legal shoes (no baseball/ football shoes with cleats on the front tip)
Soccer for 3 and 4 year olds.

Soccer Shots has a "Sparks" program for children aged 3 to 6 years old. (must be 3 by 10/31/2010)

NTSSA Age Chart - Fall 2010- Spring 2011
Age Verification Players must be four (4) years old by July 31st, 2010.-No exceptions (refer to age chart above). MSA is required to keep a copy of each players state certified birth certificate (not hospital) or other government issued documentation showing players birth date to be added to a team. If the player was born in Texas a copy can be requested from the county courthouse. If the player was born outside of Texas a copy can be requested from Vitalchek . ALL players, new or returning who have not turned in a birth certificate copy will not be placed on a team until received.
Refund Policy A $25 administrative fee prior to the first game. No refunds thereafter. Late fees are not refundable.
Returned Check Policy Checks returned to MSA as uncollected will be charged an additional $10. Payment must be made by cash. Players will not be placed until settled.
Jewelry Policy Jewelry cannot be worn by players during games except for medical or religious purposes - in this case they must be taped to the body. Earrings, necklaces and bracelets must be removed. Band-Aids/tape cannot be placed over newly pierced ears during games. Every parent signs a jewelry waiver during registration acknowledging this policy.

Registration Fall Registration is from June 1-July 18, 2010.
Online Click on the appropriate button at the top of the page. (during open registration) When your registration is complete, a receipt will be e-mailed to you along with a message to mail or fax a copy of the players birth certificate to MSA. Online registration requires payment with a Visa or MasterCard.
All players that "play up" a league are required to register by mail or walk-in.
By Mail Forms will be accepted by mail until Saturday, July 17 (postmarked by July 16th) Payment and birth certificate must be included. Please do not mail cash or a credit card number. Forms received after July 17 will be added to a wait list and incur a $15 late fee if placed on a team. Registration Form

Waitlists
All registration forms received after July 18th, will be placed on a waitlist. A player can be added to the waitlist by turning in a registration / membership form to the MSA office. This includes returning players to prior teams. If you are a returning player that did not register on time, you will not be placed on the team you played on the prior season. You will be notified after coach roster pick-up if your player can be placed on a team. Please do not contact us before then as we will not have any information until that time. If needed, a waitlisted player may be added in order received.
Team Formation Procedures Teams are formed based on age and closest elementary school. Placement is based on availability. We cannot guarantee placement on a team by location or school. Players are placed on teams after registration closes.
NEW players are placed in the unassigned/draft player pool for team placement.
RETURNING PLAYERS-have first priority to return to the team they played on the previous season. If a returning player wishes to be placed on a new team, you must register as an unassigned player. Please note in the record that you would like a new team.
Returning players that skipped a season and wish to return to their original team can only if there is space available on the roster after registration closes. You must register on time into the unassigned pool and place a request.
Special Requests: (NTSSA rules)
Play with a sibling: players may request to play with a sibling. Play up one age level: Players can play up one age level. Players cannot play down.
Bring a Friend - A returning U5 or U6 player may request to play with a friend who is registering to play soccer for the first time. Placement is subject to availability and other teams roster needs.
Bring a Friend: U13 and older players, who are new, did not play last season or whose team disbanded may request to play on a specific team. Placement is subject to availability and other teams roster needs.
NO special requests based on a players skill or ability. NO special requests for carpooling, playing with a friend, team or coach.
RESPECT THE REFEREES ...... many of them are young children; please treat them as you would want others to treat your children. Do not expect to have a perfect game called every game. Do not approach the referees on the field for clarification of rules. If you feel attention needs to be called to your field during a game, please find a field director. Please respect and support our referees, without them, soccer games cannot be played.
MSA WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY BAD BEHAVIOR TOWARD OUR REFEREES, LEAGUE OFFICIALS, COACHES OR PLAYERS. ALL REPORTS OF ABUSE CAN RESULT IN SUSPENSION. |
